Moths love cashmere, they are attracted to the natural oils on our skin. So make sure it is clean and dry, and use moth sachets in your wardrobe, drawers and refresh them regularly.
If you find holes, inspect the rest of your garments, pay attention to hemlines and folds, this is where the larvae like to hide.
If the hole relatively small, they should be able to repair it, without you ever noticing the difference.
Never, never NEVER! wash cashmere. Cleaning cashmere is tricky, which is why using a reputable dry cleaner is the best way to clean it.
